Hannes Norberg - ohne Titel

Visual artist, born in Worms, lives and works in Düsseldorf. Studied Free Art at the Kunstakademie Düsseldorf, master student of Christian Megert and Gerhard Merz. For his pictorial works, in the studio he constructs architectural models and landscape-like situations from simple materials, specifically oriented to the camera’s perspective. The starting point of the works is not excerpts from an existing reality, but empty space and the play of light and shadow. Regular exhibitions and publications in Germany and abroad, residency stipends for Paris, New York, Florence, São Paulo, Hongcheon (South Korea), Xiamen and Quanzhou (China). In 2002 he received the Villa Romana Prize for his work, a working stipend from Stiftung Kunstfonds in 2021, and a publication grant in 2024. For 2026 he was awarded the Rhineland-Palatinate state grant for a six-month stay at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris. Since 2008 he has taught artistic photography at various universities and institutions.
