Woonwagens is a 19th‑century oil painting by Belgian artist Edgar Farasyn, in the Impressionist style, 52 by 70 cm, hand-signed and sold with its frame.
Description from the seller
This oil painting was created by the Belgian artist Edgar Pierre Jozef Farasyn (1858–1938) and depicts a lively scene with caravans, chickens and a few figures. Farasyn was a versatile painter, watercolorist, etcher and draftsman, who was especially renowned for his seascapes, landscapes, cityscapes and scenes from the lives of fishermen and ordinary people. In this work he shows his talent for capturing daily life, with an eye for atmosphere, detail and character. His work is included in several major museum collections, including the Royal Museum of Fine Arts Antwerp, the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Brussels, the Museum of Kortrijk, the Jakob Smits Museum and the Katwijk Museum.

Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition we have our own in-house framers, who are celebrating their 85th anniversary year.
