Description:
In a evocative nighttime Japanese workshop illuminated by lanterns, the legendary Mortal Kombat warrior Sub-Zero, with his iconic blue mask and cryomancer armor, expertly prepares an ice cream cone. Around him, tanks of colored ice emit a glow of glacial energy, while signs in Japanese and a poster of the character itself render the atmosphere surreal and fascinating.
The image humorously and stylishly fuses the cold lethality of the ninja with the everyday sweetness of an ice cream vendor, creating a poetic contrast between destructive power and simple human joy. A playful homage to pop culture.

Creative process:
The work was created through an innovative hybrid process: an initial sketch was generated with sophisticated artificial intelligence, subsequently interpreted and fully hand-colored by the artist using professional software on an iPad. In the final stage, a dedicated filter was applied that enhances the Neo Ukiyo-e style, giving the illustration sharp lines, strong contrasts, and that graphic elegance typical of contemporary Japanese tradition.

Packaging and Shipping:
Each print is personally packaged by the artist in their own studio, and the packaging is highly protective since the print is shipped flat (not rolled) precisely to preserve the rigid fibers of the 300-gram paper and maintain the beauty of the print intact.

The Artist – Raiden:
Raiden, born in 2003, is a young Italian artist from the SSICK LAB collective. His stage name is inspired by Raiden, the famous character from the Mortal Kombat video game. His artistic research focuses on the fusion between contemporary Japanese Neo Ukiyo-e style and the imagery of Western pop culture, giving rise to works with strong visual impact, dynamic compositions, and a powerful, cinematic aesthetic.
