Description from the seller
"La Concipiente" is a wall sculpture by Francioni Mastromarino.
In the course of their careers Francioni Mastromarino have taken part in prestigious international exhibitions, including:
“Moti dell’Anima” in Pontedera
“Looking for Monnalisa,” where they presented a monumental sculpture:
the world’s largest portrait of Leonardo da Vinci – over 5 meters tall and a diameter of about 4 meters – today acquired by Pavia and officially recognized as a city monument.
This work is a secular altar, designed for easy display thanks to a back hook and also suitable for outdoor exposure, thanks to durable and sustainable materials.
The piece embodies the Woman Creator, capable of generating not only in the body but also in the spirit and thought. In her reflect intuition, the ability to welcome and transform, emotional intelligence, and a deep understanding of the world.
Her “nest,” which inspires the sculpture’s hairstyle, is a physical and symbolic place where ideas, emotions, and relationships intertwine to become new beginnings. The name “Concipiente,” from Latin con-capere, means “to take to oneself” and “to understand”: a double meaning that guides the inspiration of the work, which contemplates the feminine power to absorb, feel, and create connections between interiority and the external world.
Signed, two-handed, by Eleonora Francioni and Antonio Mastromarino, the piece arises from an artistic and human collaboration that has lasted over twenty years, where the artistic research is conceived in synergy.
Traditional techniques blend with a contemporary vision of form and symbol. The sculpture is made of acrylic resin mixed with rice husk (a by-product of polished rice processing transformed into a resource and made durable), resting on an aluminum sheet. The choice of materials embodies the authors’ pursuit of concrete sustainability.
Sustainable materials and environmental awareness:
Even the packaging respects the environment: cardboard and reused cardboard scraps as filling. Safe shipping with express courier.
