Biography:
JonOne (French-American, born in 1963 in New York), famous for his graffiti-influenced works, was born in Harlem, where the art of colorful and elaborate graffiti evolves. He began creating, with a childhood friend, graffiti of his name from the age of 17. In 1984, he founded the Graffiti 156 All Starz collective to bring together graffiti writers’ passion.
After moving to Paris in 1987, he began working as a painter on canvas in a studio. He quickly made a name for himself in Parisian art circles thanks to his canvas works, and in 1990 he was exhibited at Gallery 45 in Berlin and participated in the Graffiti Paris exhibition, where his work was presented permanently. His works are among the most important auctions in the world of graffiti. #artribuneQ4
