Lajos Kassák - Composition / Kompózitió
Linocut - hand-signed - 1960-65. The original dates from the 1960s and was shown during the Paris exhibitions at Denise René.
It is a rare print on green cardboard and was part of a limited edition by the Panderma Verlag from the 1960s. It was never framed and comes from the estate of Carl Laszlo.
Lajos Kassák (March 21, 1887 – July 22, 1967) was a Hungarian poet, writer, painter, typographer, sculptor, essayist, editor, theoretician of the avant-garde, and occasional translator. He is regarded as the primus inter pares (Carl Laszlo 1966) of significant art movements of European modernism (Constructivism, Futurism, Bauhaus, De Stijl, Abstraction-Création).
