Description from the seller
"The Guardian of the Waters" is a unique work by Maurizio Rapiti.
The technique used is oil on canvas.
Compared to the artist's other subjects, this painting is not a reinterpretation copy of a famous painting, but an original work completely invented by Rapiti.
The painting is framed as shown in photo 3.
In recent years several magazines have devoted articles to Maurizio Rapiti's art (examples in photos 4-5-6).
A copy of UpArte (photo 6) will be shipped together with the painting to whoever buys the work.

Biography:
Born in Sansepolcro in 1985, Maurizio Rapiti took his first steps in the art world in his father's studio, an expert copyist, collaborating with him in producing so‑called “falsi d’autore” (author’s forgeries).
This training will form the base of a path that will become increasingly personal, focused on experimentation and mixing of techniques but always with a look toward figurative art.
Since 2017 Rapiti has returned to dedicating himself to masterpieces of the past, but this time filtered through the lens of a maturity capable of using them as a tool to show his own personality.
The formal care and the pursuit of aesthetic pleasure thus remain the foundation of works that, at a superficial glance, seem to mock the sacred monsters of classical painting, while a closer look reveals a critique, tinged with irony, of our times.
The artist has been involved for several years in poster art, posting the prints of his works in the metal mailboxes of streets (see the last 4 photos).
Rapiti recently collaborated with the Milano Cortina Winter Olympics, creating a work whose photo and the video of its creation were shared on the official Olympic social pages (@Olympics)
https://www.instagram.com/p/DVE60Iqgn9J/
Over the years Rapiti has also had the chance to collaborate with institutions; on two occasions he created the posters for events of "Confindustria Cisambiente" and in 2021 he produced the image for the international Dante conference "A Grand Excluded Among the Excluded"
