The CC - 2022 Release is the sixth expression in the distillery's limited annual series. For this edition, the whisky mastery team focused on creating a vibrant flavor experience by balancing the rich properties of European oak with the bright, sweet qualities of American oak. A key highlight of the 2022 edition is its distinct profile of fresh grapefruit, a flavor note engineered to stand out elegantly even when the high-strength spirit is used in premium cocktails.
Maturation: Exclusively matured in a combination of ex-bourbon casks and Sherry-seasoned oak casks. The distillery suggests letting it breathe in your glass for 10 to 15 minutes to fully open up its rich layers.
Tasting Notes
Nose: A highly aromatic blend dominated by fresh grapefruit, peach, apple, and orange, nicely transitioning into vanilla sponge cake, light oak, and almonds.
Palate: Rich and complex, offering an initial wave of fresh citrus fruits, caramel, chocolate chips, and lemon biscuit, framed by warm baking spices.
Finish: Exceptionally long, smooth, and warming, leaving a distinct sweet and creamy final impression
