Oskar Schlemmer: “Dancer - The gesture, 1922”.
Authorized offset litho, produced in premium pearl-mat satin.
Style: Bauhaus.
Condition: the work is in excellent condition.
Oskar Schlemmer (1888–1943) is one of the most important masters of the iconic Bauhaus Academy.
He mastered Constructivism and Cubism, characterized by clean geometric shapes.
The work reveals Schlemmer's fascination with the relationship between the human body and the surrounding space.
The dancer is fully stylized into abstract puppet-like curves closely related to the costumes from his groundbreaking Triadic Ballet.
The original work is housed in the Pinakothek der Moderne in Munich, Germany.
Never framed and kept in a dark archival storage between acid-free protective paper.
