With this photograph Fernando won the World Press Photo 2002. "White
Darkness", by Nacho Duato.

Fernando is a teacher and photographer.
Graduated from the prestigious EFTI school in Madrid, he later became a professor at that same school alongside other photographers of international renown—names you may recognize—such as Cristina García Rodero, Chema Madoz, Ouka Leele, Isabel Muñoz, Miguel Oriola or Ciuco Gutiérrez, among others, where he teaches lighting techniques, visual aesthetics, analogue photography and nineteenth‑century photographic techniques.
In addition, he has directed other photography courses and has been the photographer for the _Compañía Nacional de Danza_ since 2000, setting the standard in stage photography. In 2002 he won the prestigious World Press Photo award for his work with Nacho Duato, and from there one could say he rose to fame, commissioned by many other choreographers around the world. He is also the photographer for the _Orquesta y Coros Nacionales de España_.
His work has been exhibited at PhotoEspaña 2007, Madrid-Foto 2008, EFTI Gallery, Casa de Vacas, among others. In May 2010, his work was shown in the exhibition "Work&Process" at the Guggenheim Museum in New York.
