The Yack paints here the tension between luxury and effort, between the softness of a California Sunday and the rigor of the athletic gesture. The red of the suit and cap contrasts with the blue of the pool and sky with a signal-like precision. It’s a painting about concentration — that moment when everyone around has disappeared.

Le Yack, a rising French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d’Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. Former art director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. He is exhibited within a network of about forty galleries in France, Germany, Belgium, the United States.
