Description from the seller
A0000005176
The mechanical pencil is presented in very good overall condition, showing careful use appropriate to its age, preserving a highly attractive aesthetic and an excellent presence in hand for being one of the most sought-after pieces of the renowned Writers Edition series (Edition of Writers).
The body and cap, made of precious resin with a subtle marbled effect that simulates noble wood —a clear homage to the material of Robinson Crusoe’s raft— maintain well-defined lines, with light superficial marks from normal use, without knocks, cracks or deformations. The material retains its deep polish and an excellent shine.
The front conical nib maintains an impeccable finish, with the tip where the lead exits perfectly aligned and clean to guarantee precise writing.
Factory inscriptions, including the author Daniel Defoe’s engraved signature on the cap, the crisp Montblanc logo, and the unique serial number corresponding to this limited edition, are in very good condition, remaining perfectly clean, legible, and deep.
Regarding operation, the internal mechanical propulsion mechanism has been inspected and is delivered in correct working order, responding with total smoothness and precision.
The metal elements, with a sober and elegant ruthenium-gold plating, including the iconic clip sculpted in the shape of a bird’s feather and the ornamented rings with classic filigree from 18th-century bindings, are in very good condition, maintaining factory-original tension, fit, and rigidity without play.
The upper cap features the famous Montblanc star emblem, which remains impeccable, crowning the piece with all its original definition.
It will be sent in a courtesy box for proper preservation.
Happy bidding!
