The case opens via a side spring clasp to reveal a gilt-toned interior fitted with two woven elastic straps to hold cigarettes securely in place.
A small stamped mark reading "B.P" is present, likely the maker's or retailer's initials rather than a full hallmark — no assay office, date letter, or standard mark (e.g. lion passant) is visible, so the case is offered as silver-plated rather than guaranteed sterling silver.
