Description of the Work
Title: Don Quijote and Sancho (1955).
Author: Pablo Picasso.
Dimensions: 42 x 29 centimeters.
Origin: Art edition for the French weekly Les Lettres Françaises by Louis Aragon.
Luxurious Support: Artistic print made on Johannot vellum paper (Canson), a premium cotton stock manufactured in France, renowned for its high durability, fine grain, and elegant cream tone.
Edition Type: Limited and exclusive series destined for collectors, created in parallel with the newspaper’s regular run to preserve the work in museum-quality condition.
The word Johannot next to a stylized letter L. Secondly, a blind embossing mark with the word Canson arranged in the upper area of the composition.
The coexistence of both marks is due to the historic Johannot engraving paper factory being part of the Canson paper group at the time of the edition, producing a high-end laid artistic paper suitable for limited and bibliophile editions.
The central fold is shipped well protected; good luck and a successful auction.
