Pair of telescopes with teak cases – 1990s – nickel-plated brass and natural brass
Description:
Pair of vintage telescopes dating from the 1990s, both housed in their solid teak cases.
They come from my private collection of nautical items currently up for sale in several auctions: small instruments that still carry the echo of routes and horizons imagined.
The first telescope is nickel-plated brass with a sunshade, sturdy and bright, with a more commanding presence.
The second, more compact, is natural brass, discreet and functional, almost a pocket companion for a deck officer.
Technical details:
Era: 1990s
Materials: nickel-plated brass + natural brass, teak cases
Composition: 2 telescopes with their respective cases
Measurements:
Telescope 1: fully extended 47 cm, lens diameter 6 cm
Telescope 2: fully extended 23 cm, lens diameter 2 cm
Condition: very good, with normal signs of aging on the brass, perfectly consistent with use and age
Notes:
Decorative and functional objects, ideal for enriching nautical collections, bookcases, studies, or marine-style furnished spaces.
The teak case adds a warm and authentic tone, like a small officer’s casket.
