Description from the seller

: Royal Modular Pocket Lighter with Original Brush – Berghaus Krippenstein Souvenir – Austria – 1950s-1960s
Description:
A very rare and collectible mechanical pocket lighter, made as a luxury tourist souvenir for the famous Dachstein mountain range in the Austrian Alps, produced by the renowned Austrian brand Royal during the 1950s-1960s.

Modular Construction and Complete Set (Very Rare): The piece features an ingenious system consisting of a chrome-plated metal outer protective casing (decorated with the mountain landscape) and the functional mechanical body that slides completely inside it. The piece is sold as a rare complete set, retaining its original mini brass brush used to clean the mechanism and the flint wheel.

Mechanism and Fuel: Classic mechanical gasoline (petrol) ignition system, equipped with wick and flint wheel. Important note: The lighter is functional, the flap slides freely, but due to safety regulations for transport and storage, it is not filled with gasoline.

Markings and Authenticity: The original "Royal" brand with the brand logo is clearly stamped on the sole of the outer case, along with the historical provenance mark "Pat. Pend. AUSTRIA".

Aesthetic and technical condition (As per photo): In exceptional vintage visual condition, practically New Old Stock (old stock piece, unused). The inner cotton wick is completely white, clean and untouched by fire, and the inside of the case shows no signs of use. The chrome is extremely shiny on all sides. The enameled front panel is completely intact and retains its original vivid colors
