Holger Matthies – “Textilien” – Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg – Original silkscreen poster – 1974

Original vintage exhibition poster designed by Holger Matthies for the exhibition “Wir öffnen die Schatzkammern: Textilien”, held at the Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg from 25 January to 24 March 1974.

The poster features a striking photographic composition with a pink textile garment set against an urban rooftop background, combined with bold modern typography. A strong example of 1970s German graphic design and museum poster art.

Holger Matthies is a well-known German poster designer and graphic artist, especially recognised for his theatrical and cultural posters.
