Description from the seller

Master Sarnari, a member of the Scicli group, has been one of the major shapers of contemporary painting in Sicily and in the world. The graphic presented here was printed using the 'digital calcography' technique, a completely original method personally invented by me at my print shop in Comiso, 'seristampa,' where engraving techniques mix with digital. The first pass is printed with an HP 3200 plotter, after working together with the artist on the computer; once printed, it is decided where to intervene with aquatint, etching, and drypoint to give body and substance to the composition, then printed in calcography with a hand press. This technique allowed the artist to bring out points of light and matter in order to make the image vibrate and render it chromatically perfect. In this case, Master Sarnari was interested in color, light, and shadow."} επι 234} } این } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } } }
