Description from the seller

The Brora 35 Years Old (Diageo Special Releases 2014) is a legendary and highly coveted Highland single malt Scotch whisky.
This bottling, known as the 13th Release in the annual series, was distilled in 1978 and bottled in 2014 after 35 years of maturation.

Tasting Notes & Character

Nose: Richly complex and oily. It opens with Brora's signature scented beeswax, old canvas, and honey. This is backed by autumn leaves, orange rinds, distant chimney smoke, and a unique industrial touch of watch oil and minerals.

Palate: Highly textured, waxy, and far more powerful than the nose suggests. It features prominent notes of farmy peat smoke, cracked black pepper, and sea salt, balanced by ripe orchard fruits (apples, pears), licorice, and vanilla bean.

Finish: Long, warming, and distinctly dry. It leaves lingering traces of soot, maritime brine, old oak, and fading wood ash.
