Spectacular, multi-threaded composition. The wings and body of the bird become living architecture. Feathers smoothly transform into exquisite towers, Gothic bell towers, and densely intertwined branches, in which human silhouettes are hidden — symbols of human thoughts and memories carried by time. The artist brilliantly pairs cool blues of the sky and the depth of the sea with warm, fiery accents on the creature’s head. Subtle details, such as miniature demons playing around the bird’s legs, introduce an element of unease and grotesque into the work, perfectly balanced by the majestic calm of the background.
