Description from the seller
This signed, studio-edition art print (offset lithography) by Frank Stella from 2006 shows a composition from the famous work series “Sinjerli Variations,” which originally emerged in 1977.
The work is hand-signed by Frank Stella in the lower right.
With its bold geometric forms, flowing lines and harmoniously coordinated color fields, the Sinjerli Variations series ranks among the artist’s best-known works and marks an important turning point in his creative career.
Inspired by ornamental and architectural structures, the artist developed a multilayered visual language in which color, form and space merge into a harmonious whole. The series is regarded as a key work in his transition from strict Minimalism to his more complex abstract compositions.
The work is professionally framed under a mat, in a custom-made, handmade white wooden frame with Plexiglas Optical HC presented. This high-quality framing provides optimal UV protection, high scratch resistance and minimal reflections.
The framed format measures approximately 74 x 64 cm
Note: Published by the Dallas Museum of Art in 2006.
The typography on the work (along the bottom edge) is obscured by the mat.
