-Description of the work:
Created in 2001, Eva belongs to one of the most famous and recognizable cycles by Aldo Mondino, devoted to the ironic reinterpretation of Western sculpture tradition. The female figure, evoked through a simple and almost sculptural sign, is enclosed between two halves of an open apple, a clear reference to the biblical myth of Eve and the theme of knowledge.
With the usual visual intelligence that characterizes his entire production, Mondino combines references to classical sculpture, to Rodin's tradition, and to the Western symbolic imagination, turning them into a poetic, immediate, and surprising image.
The presence of the work in the original Catalog of the exhibition constitutes an important element of documentation, confirming its provenance in exhibitions and its inclusion within one of the artist's most significant projects.
-Conditions:
Good preservation state.
-Shipping:
An accurate packaging and fast shipping are guaranteed; in-person pickup is welcome; the work is located in Milan.
A refined work with strong visual impact, belonging to a mature phase of Aldo Mondino's research, an artist increasingly appreciated by the international market for the originality of his language and for his ability to fuse culture, irony and experimentation.
