Description from the seller
This original work, created in 2026, measures 120 × 80 cm and is executed in oil on cotton canvas. It depicts the Major Arcana “The Magician” from the tarot, reinterpreting the classic Marseille tarot card through a contemporary pictorial language with strong visual impact.
In these pieces, the artist condenses the intensity of the process into immediate decisions, giving rise to works with high impact, strong presence, and an unmistakable plastic identity.
VIMOPAR is a Spanish visual artist, Doctor of Art and Research, with an established career supported by awards and selections in the contemporary art circuit. His practice blends figurative painting with advanced research in image and visual language, bringing conceptual depth to each work.
His work can be followed on Instagram at @molina.pardo, where he develops long-term projects that integrate painting, animation, and 3D printing. Concurrently, he maintains the profile @vmp_justicia_pictorica, dedicated exclusively to painting and with access restricted to collectors and participants in Catawiki, reinforcing the selective character of this production.
The execution in concentrated bursts allows capturing a freshness, tension, and energy difficult to achieve in longer processes, qualities highly valued in today’s collecting scene.
The work is made with mixed media on canvas: acrylic base, sanding with different grits, glazes with Liquin, and final oil finish, achieving a surface rich in nuances, chromatic depth, and great material stability.
Shipping is sent only with the canvas rolled, carefully protected with bubble wrap and a rigid support, ensuring its perfect preservation during transport. It is prepared for 120 x 80 cm on a 4 cm-deep frame (the frame is not shipped).
A standout opportunity to acquire an original large-format work, belonging to an active series, with growing demand and projection within the contemporary market.
