AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Original artwork on canvas by Carola Castro delivered perfectly framed.

Berlin knew how to attract toward itself and launch into the world crucial pages of the contemporary poetic adventure.

This is the third Tribute to Berlin 1909-1933.
I am passionate about that use of violent colors and energetic brushstrokes to prioritize the expression of subjective emotions and existential angst over a faithful representation of nature.

They used an aggressive brushstroke and very vivid colors to capture the chaos, fear and uncertainty of that era.

Impossible to leave this movement out of my work!!

I try to move within the act of continually reinventing Cubism, giving it a contemporary feel.
I regularly access certain parameters I consider recurrent, such as the constant assimilation of images from the past, the play with others’ language, focusing on old and modern painters.
I feel a constant plunging sensation into the interior of history.

My study and research of the Cubist movement, especially the long trajectory of Picasso, take me to unknown territories.

In each painting I try to review the problems and solutions Picasso posed with Cubism.
Cubism, for me, is a very important artistic movement within the history of art.
