Rare and authentic antique ship’s navigation compass manufactured by H & F Müller, Trieste, a respected maker of maritime instruments.
This heavy professional compass dates from the late 19th century to early 20th century (approximately 1880–1925). Comparable H & F Müller Trieste navigation compasses are documented in museum collections, including examples attributed to the Compagnie Générale de Navigation (CGN) on Lake Geneva.
