1964ca PILOT NAMIKI CAPLESS IInd Generation Black Faceted Celluloid Near Mint

Offering a stunning Pilot Capless – 2nd Generation - with black celluloid and faceted body, probably the most beautiful version ever done.

The original twist mechanism proved complex to manufacture and less intuitive for everyday use.
Pilot refined the design with the 2nd generation in 1964 with the Push-Button Model (the 1st generation was designed with a twist mechanism) : the launch coincided with the 1964 Olympics, Pilot introduced the first knock-type (push-button) model, allowing single-handed operation.

Awards: This technical evolution won the industry-renowned High-Tech Award in 1965 and the Okochi Memorial Technology Prize.
