Detailed description:
I am auctioning a Montegrappa collector’s ballpoint pen, belonging to the famous Series 300. This line, produced from the late 1980s through the 1990s, was designed as a homage and modern reinterpretation of the legendary 1937 celluloid model "402".

This exemplar presents a superb visual balance: its faceted cap is in deep blue marbled resin, while its slim brass body is adorned with a delicate vertical guilloché pattern, entirely covered by a rich 23-karat gold plating. The central band bears the classic cursive signature of the Italian manufacturer from Bassano del Grappa.

History and Condition:
Purchased at auction on another site in 2009. The original warranty booklet does not bear the dealer stamp, so the pen originates either from an unused old stock of watchmaking/paper goods, or from a first owner who handled it very little.
The cosmetic condition is remarkable (near-pristine): the resin is superb, the 23k gold plating shows no chips, dents, or lacquer loss. Only a few microscopic signs of wear, barely visible to the naked eye, attest to its age. The twist mechanism works perfectly.
