Description
Beautiful original composition by Jacques Yankel, a renowned French artist, son of the School of Paris painter Michel Kikoïne.
This work blends oil and ink in a free and expressive pictorial language characteristic of the artist. The composition is structured around a play of semi-figurative and abstract forms where deep blues, gestural blacks, and vibrant red accents unfold. The overall work exudes strong plastic intensity and great spontaneity of execution.
Through its pictorial writing, its palette and its handling of material, this work evokes the artist’s most free and semi-abstract period, generally dated between the 1960s and 1980s.
The work is presented in its old workshop-era frame under glass, thus preserving its authentic character and original aesthetics.

Good overall condition.
Some signs of time and light marks on the old frame, in keeping with its age.
Please examine carefully the photographs which form an integral part of the description.
Provenance

An expressive work representative of Jacques Yankel’s universe, combining the heritage of the School of Paris with contemporary gestural freedom.
