Description from the seller
Marina, acrylic on MDF 60x60, squally sea, vibrant, modern, evocative, unique, a painting entirely handmade by the Italian artist Sebastiano Plutino. Certificate of authenticity with the artist's signature and stamp.
Sebastiano Plutino (Reggio Calabria, June 20, 1973) is an Italian contemporary painter and artist. After studying at the Art High School “Mattia Preti” in Reggio Calabria, he dedicates himself completely to painting, developing a personal stylistic signature that blends figurative and informal elements. His work is characterized by a particular sensitivity toward the sea, nature, and the Mediterranean culture: his “marine” works evoke meditative atmospheres, often dominated by bright skies, wide horizons, and waters in constant motion, in a painting that communicates suggestion and introspection. In addition to seascapes, Plutino creates portraits—often of female figures—and informal landscapes, using oils, enamels, and acrylics on panel or MDF, with decisive brushstrokes and dense, meaningful color stratifications. His career includes numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad: his works have been shown in galleries such as Galleria ArteToma (Reggio Calabria), OnArt Gallery (Florence), Galleria Serraino (Reggio Calabria) and at events like ArtePadova and PaviArt.
