The StarWalker collection’s most modern expression at an exceptionally high level of aesthetic craftsmanship: the Montblanc StarWalker Black Mystery Ballpoint Pen.

This variant, now out of production and highly sought after by collectors, stands out for the extraordinary decoration that wraps the entire body and cap. The traditional shiny black resin here is replaced by a solid lacquered body, on which an intricate laser engraving with platinum finish has been applied. The geometric, asymmetric motif, reminiscent of digital data streams or the architecture of microchips, gives the instrument a profoundly hi-tech look and an exceptional tactile grip.

The contrast between the deep black of the lacquer and the brilliance of the platinum used in the engravings and metal finishes (clip and rings) is masterful. To crown it all, the iconic transparent dome on the summit cannot be missing, where the white Montblanc star emblem floats, an unmistakable signature of the entire StarWalker line. Operation is ensured by a fluid twist mechanism, and, as demonstrated by the photos of the disassembled instrument, the substantial brass threading is present, a symbol of absolute robustness and authenticity. The pen is fitted with its original Montblanc refill.

The condition is to be considered excellent overall. The lacquer and the complex laser-engraved motif are intact and perfectly legible, with no color loss or structural dents; only the normal, physiological micro-scratches (hairlines) due to standard handling are noticeable. The platinum plating is bright and oxidation-free. The serial code is regularly engraved on the clip ring.
