This work in the format 80 × 80 × 4.5 cm is created on a wide, high-quality canvas and moves between painting and sculpture.
In the light, the surface unfolds a clear presence. Depending on the incident light and viewing angle, texture and depth change; individual layers stand out more distinctly. The work feels spatial and physical – perception arises while walking, standing, or lingering.
Frequency COBALT — Sculpture of light, structure & presence
Frequency COBALT is inspired by sound and frequency. From my work as a pianist I transfer rhythm, pause, and repetition into a visual structure. The composition follows a reduced order. Repetitions create tensions comparable to held notes, while subtle color shifts mark transitions.
Work details:
Title: Frequency COBALT (non metallic)
Size: 80 × 80 cm × 4.5 cm
Technique & Materials: Acrylic paint and Heavy-Gel texture paste on canvas, built up in layers with different trowels. The pigments form elevations and overlays with calm, pulsating tension.
Only the highest quality materials are used: acrylic paints from Amsterdam Expert, texture pastes from Liquitex – all produced locally in Austria.
Frame: Wide hanging frame made of solid natural wood (included in the price).
(Black decorative frame not included)
Images: The photos were taken under professional studio lighting. Light is essential for the color play of the works. The artist recommends placing the work under direct or indirect light to fully reveal the color interplay and give the pieces a lively appearance.
To foster a better understanding of the works and the interaction of light, I encourage buyers to view the videos of the different works on Instagram at @sarah.schwarzl.art.
Signature & Authenticity: Hand-signed on the back. Supplied with a signed certificate of authenticity.
Location: Directly from the artist's studio in Vienna.
Market Presence: Comparable works are held in private collections and galleries at a price range of € 2,500 – € 3,000.
