From a young age, Henri Hess's talent for drawing stood out (born 1950, Eindhoven). Although he initially followed the L.T.S., he ultimately chose his true passion: art. From 1967 he studied at the Eindhoven Free Academy, where he was taught by, among others, Peter ’t Hoen and Jan Kuhr. Through his contacts with painters Frans Manders and Louis Ector he further developed into a gifted and versatile artist.
This is a large oil painting on canvas by Henri Hess. The work depicts a cheerful clown on a carousel horse. By using warm colors, the painting has a cozy and lively appearance, making it pleasant to look at.
