This atmospheric oil painting by the Dutch artist David Schulman depicts a river landscape with a cottage on the water's edge on the left and a walking figure on a path on the right. Schulman belonged to the Larense School and is best known for his landscapes, winter village scenes, and river and harbor views. His work is characterized by a strong atmosphere and a sensitive portrayal of the Dutch landscape. This painting is a fine example of his talent to capture calm, light, and space.

Viewing is, of course, possible. In addition we have our own in-house framers, who are celebrating their 85th anniversary year.
