Period: 19th century.
Salvador Pla y Bo was a Spanish painter born in Sueca (Valencia) on February 25, 1848. During the years 1871 and 1872 he dedicated himself to the study and copying of works by great masters, later developing a production mainly focused on flower vases, seascapes and landscapes.
The work represents a delicate floral still life with a basket brimming with flowers, executed with careful composition and a rich color palette. It highlights the quality of the brushwork and the detailed handling of the different floral species.
Provenance: private collection.
Condition: good overall state of conservation.
