Description from the seller

Waichi Tsutaka (1911–1995), Untitled, ink and watercolor on handmade paper.

Expressive abstract composition in deep blue-black and gray tones with subtle light accents. A characteristic work by the Japanese artist that blends Far Eastern sensibility with modern abstraction. Doubly signed, verso with handwritten notes and collection marks. Last acquired from a European private collection; on the back a stamp from the Dorotheum, as well as from LGT Bank, Vaduz, Liechtenstein. A very decorative and collectible original work.
