Description from the seller
Solid Ezo spruce top, rosewood body. This was the top-of-the-line model in the G-series from 1974 (purchased in the Netherlands in 1977).
This model was not intended for export; videos of it often originate from Thailand or other parts of Asia.
Yamaha later produced guitars in Taiwan and later China, but this one is from the Nippon Gakki factory during an era when the company placed great emphasis on Spanish-style guitars and hired top luthiers for the Grand Concert series. The guitar possesses a distinctly Spanish sound, combined with the precision and tonal smoothness typical of Yamaha. It is characterized by a highly singing tone and effortless playability.
Please refer to the photos for further details and the original receipt.
The guitar sounds simply fantastic—as one would expect from such a high-quality instrument that has been played for decades. While there are some minor dings and scratches, the wood is in excellent condition for its age; there are no cracks or structural defects.
The tuning machines have been replaced with high-quality brass Van Gent tuners (18:1 gear ratio).
