Description from the seller
An original liquid-filled compass from the brand "Kroon Compas", housed in an old brass night housing.
The working compass is from a later date than the housing. The housing originates from England and the compass from the Netherlands.
The housing has an original, removable brass oil lamp (equipped with a high-quality burner from the well-known maker W&W). The lamp slides perfectly into the side of the night housing and illuminates the compass rose in a atmospheric way in the dark – just as it used to aboard during the night watch.
To make the lighting a bit easier, a small battery-powered light has been added.
Glass of the night housing is missing. As a result, the compass is nevertheless easier to read.
An absolute eyecatcher for the serious maritime collector, or as a unique industrial decorative piece in a modern or classic interior.

The compass will be very well packed, insured and sent by registered mail with a track and trace code.
