Splendid and rare triptych of authorial graphics (50x70 cm each) by master Carlo Ramous (1926-2003), a renowned Italian sculptor and painter of international standing. The works are all published in the official catalogues of the historic avant-garde publishing house "La Nuova Foglio" (photos supplied as accompanying material).
The lot consists of:
• 1 exclusive screen print with a gilded background.
• 2 screen prints on a white background.
One of the three graphics bears on the back the original certificate of authenticity and guarantee from the publishing house "La Nuova Foglio", documented in photos.
Visual Impact and the Linear Motif:
The triptych lives through an extraordinary dialogue among the three works. The common thread is a powerful sign-form of red color that traverses the horizontal space, evoking the stylized figure of a seagull in full flight with wings spread, with a central mass reminiscent of its body. For maximum transparency towards collectors, an enlarged photograph of the gilded surface has been included. Please note that the slight imperfections and the darker areas visible on the gold background are not defects or damage, but authentic testimony of the screen printing process carried out entirely by hand by the publisher of the era. They derive from the manual laying down of the gold resin and from natural metallic tonal variations over time, features that certify the originality and artisanal nature of the work, making each piece unique.
