πJS aka Stephen Joannon (Artist, gallerist, exhibition curator, music critic…)
A versatile visual artist and shapemaker, πJS presents here a series of editions derived from his gallery-presented painting work that is currently on view. This series reinterprets icons from Pop Art and contemporary Street Art, reworked with the artist’s own codes. Discover these editions first before you can bid on the real acrylic-painted paintings that will go on sale mid-July. Feel free to also check out the artist’s sculpted works (Les Robbit). A series of highly colorful sculptures, a cheeky homage to the worlds of Barry Flanagan, Jeff Koons and Kaws, guided by the electronic motifs of Herbie Hancock — especially Rockit (1983), from which the name derives. Created in Tourrettes-sur-Loup in collaboration with an exceptional craftsman, the collection comes in four silhouettes, each then hand-painted in strictly unique variations.
Poem of metal and matter, ROBBIT blends pop boldness with playful sweetness: a sculptural presence that strikes with chromatic optimism and a visual melody. These pieces, designed to capture gazes and complement contemporary collections, are produced in limited editions — an invitation to seize the work before its disappearance.
