An extraordinary and iconic work by Mario Schifano (1934–1998), one of the absolute pioneers of European Pop Art and the Piazza del Popolo School. This piece belongs to his famous and highly sought-after series of “Tele/Foto Computerizzate,” photographs manually retouched from television screens. Schifano isolates a transitory mediated image, transforming an ephemeral TV broadcast into a lyrical and permanent artistic statement through dynamic and energetic strokes of colored enamel. A conceptually impactful work worthy of a museum, perfectly reflecting Schifano’s obsession with contemporary media and visual flows.
