Splendid, large-format abstract painting with captivating colors, almost hypnotic, by painter Carla Horat (born 1938), measuring 100 x 120 cm, oil on canvas, titled Segni- Colore, from 1992. The painting will be shipped with a catalog about her in complimentary fashion, shipping with insurance.

Carla Horat has exhibited in the world's most important museums and pinacotecas: Rome, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, Barcelona, New York, Alexandria, Venice, Switzerland, Mexico City, etc., etc..

Of her they write the most significant minds in the world of culture and art of the last century: Gesualdo Bufalino, Enrico Baj, Leonardo Sciascia, Guttuso, Antonello Trombadori, etc., etc..

Daughter of an artist (her father Theo is a well-known Swiss watercolorist), at five she moves to Ticino and later to Verona, where she graduates from the Academy of Fine Arts. Since 1981 she has resided in Palermo, where she obtained the chair of printmaking techniques at the Academy of Fine Arts. She has taught at the International School of Graphics in Venice and since 1986 also at the International Center of Graphics in Venice, where she conducted courses in burin and non-toxic intaglio techniques. She has directed printmaking and painting workshops at various foreign universities: Rio de Janeiro (PUC University), Mexico City (UNAM University), Merida (Yucatan, Marista University), Barcelona (Faculty of Fine Arts). Since 2005 she has dedicated herself especially to the Artist’s Book.

She has held numerous exhibitions, including in Venice, Palermo, Lugano, Paris, Seoul, Tokyo, New York, Mexico City, Rio de Janeiro, Munich, Nuremberg, Bremen. Among those who have written about her are Antonello Trombadori, Leonardo Sciascia, Gesualdo Bufalino, Vincenzo Consolo, Enrico Baj.
