Medsan Geisha Depression Klimt (クリムトの芸者), a 40×40 cm square giclée mounted on a wooden frame, is a unique 1/1 edition signed by hand from 2026 in a pop art style with a Geisha and Klimt-inspired motif.
Description from the seller
ONLY ONE IN THE WORLD EXISTS - EDITION 1/1
With this square-format artwork, Medsan blends the grace of the geisha with Gustav Klimt's gilded opulence. A beauty in a kimono, curled up and with her face inclined in a gesture filled with melancholy, stands before a byōbu screen dotted with gold leaf and stylized flowers and rivers. Her garment, entirely made of spirals, geometric pavings, and concentric circles, seems cut from the very fabric of Golden Age masterpieces. This unique giclée bears the signature “メドサン” (Medsan).
The visual force of the composition lies in its radiant gold surface and its abundant ornamentation, at the crossroads of the Japanese byōbu and Klimtian mosaic. The kimono’s swirling motifs—directly inspired by Klimt and his Adele Bloch-Bauer—merge with the chrysanthemums and the loops of the background, in a riot of precious matter.
The impact of the work rests on the emotion that wells from the posture: beneath the splendor of gold lies a grave inner life, almost sad—an beauty folded into its silence. Medsan combines decorative splendor with psychological depth, where luxury becomes a setting for solitude.
A sumptuous, golden, and deeply moving piece, ideal for adding an elegant, contemplative, and refined touch to a designer and collector’s interior.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a workshop of artists gathered around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a true venue of artistic production, the atelier operates both as collective creation and as individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, a contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo joins in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, art brut, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and overseen within the atelier, with a shared artistic standard and an identity of its own for each artist.
