Carlo Carrà (1881-1966) - Ardengo Soffici

Portrait of Ardengo Soffici executed in ink on paper in 1914. The work was published in the July issue of LACERBA (one of the most important avant-garde magazines in the European landscape of the early 1900s) and also reproduced in the general catalog of Ardengo Soffici's works edited by Raimondi and Cavallo in 1967 and in the volume "L'invenzione del '900" edited by Giampiero Mughini. Both publications are by Vallecchi. Autograph inscription: "to friend Soffici, Carlo Carrà". The work is accompanied by an expert report issued by the CARRA' Archive curated by Luca Carrà — frame included.
