About
Idris Khan is a contemporary artist who lives and works between Paris and Cologne and is known for her opulent, floral compositions. Her works fuse Baroque pictorial traditions with modern, abstract structures, creating a unique visual language between painting and digital aesthetics. At the center of her oeuvre are fragmented floral arrangements that seem to dissolve and float in deep, marble-like color spaces. Khan explores themes such as transience, beauty and transformation, reinterpreting classical still lifes and translating them into a contemporary context. Her works are characterized by intense color worlds, fine textures, and an almost sculptural sense of depth. Today Idris Khan is regarded as an exciting voice of the new generation, blending traditional art history with modern visual culture.
