PIX A presents The Meeting - XL, a one‑of‑a‑kind original mixed‑media painting (acrylic and oil stick) on canvas, 95 × 135 cm, hand signed and created in 2026, depicting animals in a monochrome palette of white, black and grey, shipped rolled directly from the artist’s studio with a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Two enigmatic figures emerge from a monochrome surface, brought to life through bold gestures, spontaneous lines, and a deliberately raw visual language. Reduced to their essential forms, they exist somewhere between human presence, symbolic creatures, and primitive signs.
The composition invites contemplation rather than explanation. It captures the tension of a meeting, a moment suspended in time where curiosity, distance, recognition, and mystery coexist. Each viewer is free to imagine the relationship between the two figures and the story unfolding before them.
Executed in acrylic and oil stick, the work combines expressive energy with a restrained palette, creating a painting that is both immediate and timeless. Influenced by contemporary expressionism and the directness of Art Brut, it celebrates the power of instinctive mark-making and the emotional impact of simplified forms.
