Hitachi MB-H21 MSX computer with 32KB RAM, 16KB VRAM and 48KB ROM containing MSX BASIC, a slow-down button and function-key driven software access, 100 VAC powered, NTSC video output, in good condition and in working order (1985, Japan only).
Description from the seller
The Hitachi MB-H21 is an MSX-compliant computer that was only sold in Japan and is quite rare to see. It has 32 KB of RAM, 16 KB of VRAM, and 48 KB of ROM with MSX BASIC and various applications accessible via the function keys when the computer is turned on:
F1 / F6 - MSX-BASIC
F2 to F4 - Info or demo about the applications
F5 - MB-H21 Monitor Program: machine code monitor/disassembler
F7 - Sketch Program: graphics program
F8 - Sound Play: musical keyboard
F9 - Roulette: game.
In addition to the ROM applications, this Hitachi includes a button that lets the CPU run slower, allowing slowdown for any game or application for the desired duration.
It is in good condition, with mild signs of yellowing and wear.
The built-in power supply is 100 VAC and 50/60 Hz, so it may require a transformer to use in Europe. The TV and audio outputs and the composite video are NTSC, but I have tested it on an LED VGA monitor with an adapter/tuner.
All keys respond. I have tried playing for a while with a Konami cartridge and everything works perfectly.
Regarding the photos, I have tried to make them as detailed as possible.
NOTE: The VGA monitor, the adapter/tuner, the 220V→110V transformer, and the cartridge are NOT included.
