Description from the seller
Modular Abstraction is a pictorial series that explores the possibilities of the geometric language through repetition, rhythm, and the articulation of visual modules.
Each work is built as a closed structure, but open to multiple readings, in which the flat shapes and the defined contours form an autonomous visual system.
The painting is presented here as an inscription-surface, in which simple figures — rectangles, triangles, semicircles — are joined into unique combinations, evoking architectural structures, symbols, fragments of possible alphabets.
The compositions do not refer to an external reality, but are presented as self-sustaining entities, able to generate meaning through formal order.
The use of limited palettes — with one or two accent colors and neutral backgrounds — strengthens the perception of balance and contrast, while the thin black lines delineate the planes precisely, reinforcing an aesthetic of restraint and clarity.
The absence of textures, blurriness, or volumetric effects ensures that each module retains its own entity, while contributing to an organic totality.
In a world saturated with images and stimuli, Modular Abstraction offers a visual pause: a contemplation of order, of boundaries, of the infinite possibility hidden in the minimal.
Each work is a system, a unity, a visual score that presents itself to the viewer as a quiet riddle.
Unique large-scale work 100 x 70 x 2.5 cm.
