KIRAS - 3 FLAVORS ice cream

Fuchsia neon plexiglass artwork by the Italian artist "KIRAS", a contemporary pop artist who blends innovative materials, neon palettes and luminous design into pieces that transform space. KIRAS's intervention is immediately recognizable in this piece as well: a fluorescent plexiglass frame, completely sealed and designed as an integral part of the artwork, encloses three iconic soft-serve ice creams molded in bioplastic, sustainable materials recurring in her works.

The fluorescent frame: a natural light source
The fluorescent plexiglass is not just a container: it acts as an autonomous light diffuser. When exposed to natural or artificial light in the environment, the neon edge emits a bright yellow glow capable of illuminating the wall even without any electrical source. A scenic effect that makes the work alive, active and three-dimensional.
The color choices of the three ice creams are not merely decorative: they are part of a chromatic study that considers interaction with the fluorescent frame. Fuchsia, lime, turquoise, purple, orange and green dialogue with the neon edge to reflect the light and amplify its diffusion, creating a depth effect that vibrates and changes with the space’s luminosity.

The frame is custom-made, built entirely around the piece and is not removable. This clearly sets it apart from works that use standard frames or prefab modules: here the frame is the sculpture, defines the perceived volume, safeguards and enhances the internal elements.

The three ice-cream cones, with neon surfaces and colors, are made of bioplastic, a sustainable and lightweight material used by Kiras in most of her three-dimensional work.
