Description from the seller

Beautiful original copper ship lantern from commercial shipping. A characterful nautical collectible with a fine, natural patina developed over many years of use. The lamp is fitted with the original ribbed Fresnel lens and various marks and inscriptions, including a R.I.N.A. approval and dating 09/03/1973.

The robust construction, heavy brassware and the original closures make this a particularly decorative object that fits perfectly in a maritime interior, restaurant, hotel, café, nautical museum or private collection.

The lamp remains in its original, unrestored condition. The lens shows some damage/chips (see photos), in keeping with its age and maritime use. It is precisely these signs of wear that contribute to the authenticity of the object.

Features

* Original copper ship lamp
* With original Fresnel lens
* R.I.N.A. mark present
* Dating on the lens: 09-03-1973
* Beautiful, original patina
* Heavy industrial quality
* Authentic maritime collectible
* Ideal as decoration or for a nautical collection

A splendid piece of maritime history that is increasingly difficult to find in original, untouched condition.

Condition
Good original used condition with normal signs of wear. The lens has some damage and small chips, visible in the photos. Please examine the photos carefully; they are an integral part of the description.

Professionally packaged and insured shipping or pickup is of course also possible.
