Vintage silver-gelatin print.
In the early 1980s, Marc Simon produced for VSD an unusual feature about the arrival of Japanese sumo wrestlers in Paris. Far from traditional arenas, the athletes are photographed in the streets of Montmartre, climbing stairs, crossing squares and moving among astonished passersby.

THE TAYLOR GALLERY WORKSHOP
The Atelier / Galerie Taylor, located at 7, on the eponymous street in the 10th arrondissement in Paris, is a friendly place dedicated to photography. It was created thanks to image enthusiasts, José Nicolas, photographer and manager of the place with the support of Jean Vinégla.
Located a stone's throw from Place de la République, between rue du Château-d'eau and rue René-Boulanger, the place is dynamic, atypical and warm, resolutely turned towards sharing and mutual discovery of images at the 'international.
